Is the experience from the Sky Q Mini the same as the main box?

I am looking to build a SkyQ Multiroom solution in my new house, to replace my exisiting SkyHD HDMI/CAT5 system and I believe the current owners have the Sky feed into a different room to what I want to use as my main.

Rather than move all the cabling, I am wondering if sourcing the 'master' box in the smaller room, and then having a Mini box in my living room, which will be used 90% of the time.. This means that the master box will be used occasionally, where as the Mini will be used almost all the time.

Is there any downside of watching Sky through a Mini box, over the master?

Minis don't support UHD/HDR . Also they don't have the mini live tv in the now/next browser and don't support split screens on sports.
