In my opinion in currents state yes. Nowt to do with power but later 360 games are pretty comparable with the XB1 even now. 1080/720p was a feature in most games. IMHO even the actual box looked better as a console.

The UI is way easier to navigate until x1NXE, controllers have double the range with no disconnect issues and implementation of XBlive features from messaging to partying up is near perfect. Plenty more reasons but for me the Xbox360 is one of those once in a couple of decades console much like dream cast, N64 and Spectrums. The fact I'm still playing mine more than the XB1 speaks volumes.

Anyone else have an opinion? Not getting into a peeing contest. Each to their own but Iv been thinking about this for some time now.

The 360 does have an epic lifetime catalog.
And the UI improved a lot over the years.

As for the controller range, I think they're about the same.
I don't think I can go downstairs to the kitchen with either controller without disconnecting.
My room is at the front of the house and the kitchen is near the back, just over 12ft if I were to walk the same distance down the hall upstairs.

of course it's better, but games wise i agree the main problem is they keep doing remasters of games instead of doing more proper ones. Tomb raider, max payne, gears of war etc. Oh and it needed to be at least twice as powerful to last the cycle imo.

To be fair, nothing has bettered either the Super Nintendo or PlayStation from a games point of view. The controller disconnects were virtually non existent also.

bollocks to that if it doesn't have rubber keys then it isn't worth mentioning.

What the 360 is, as it isn't a better console, is a more mature console. It aged and evolved but the X1 is different and it will mature also. Remember you are comparing the 360 at the end of it's life to an X1 which is at the beginning of its. Hardly a fair comparison.

Also what a console is or might need to be in 5 years has changed a lot, also I suspect so has pc gaming so consoles need to evolve to fit the new landscape.

Only time will tell if the direction was correct, but I believe the increased flexibility is a good move even with its growing pains.

And even early in its lifecycle the X1 can do a whole lot more than the 360.

Solid 2 years in now though. Time for digital remastered games running at dog rough frames per second and at 900p to end though you would have thought :/

The 360 was a great console for me. It brought me back to gaming after quite a break, but IMO the XB1 is even better. The controller is more refined and I love the rumble triggers and I can also see that there's an awful lot more to come from the console. It'll grow over time just as the 360 did.

I think the only time ive used my 360 was when I have to send my xbox ones psu back for a replacement.
Oh and when I attached a external hdd and moved some saved files to the cloud for BC.

My Xbox one is my new baby and the 360 is gathering dust like my wiiu and ps3

I still don't get that attitude.
It's not like the Xbox360 is defunct.
I still use mine fairly regularly as there are a lot of good games for it and I'm not willing to just discard them.

I got rid of my 360. Why would I want to go back and play old games when I don't have enough time for all the new ones I'd like? For me once consoles move on, I move on also.

I still own my PS2 slim, original Playstation, Megadrive and Mastersystem.
I don't play the last two much, but I do dust of the PS2/PS every so often as they have some games that I really enjoyed and like to revisit now and again.

Depends on what you mean by better really, in terms of game library? Of course but that because its been around for 10 years, In terms of functionality and power? No but thats because it been around for 10 years!

Each to their own but for me this gen of buggy, broken half finished and re-mastered games has put me on a downer for 2 years. Not to mention my console broke out of warranty with multiple defects as did the connect. And every time you hold a controller tight it feels like it's going to break where the back section meets the front (build quality is what I am getting at). All the games I have wanted have all been a buggy broken mess. I'm fed up of huge downloads and patches every week (my internet is only 6 down and 0.25 up). You can see my frustration. I seem to spend more time either waiting for patches to download or broken multiplayer lobbies to fill up and then crash than actually playing games. I want to like this console, and I can see how it could be better. But for me at this very moment in time it's not! Let's not forget the 360 was almost over powered at the time of release for a console hence the longevity and cycle of 10 years. To me the XB1 is already showing its age in terms of tech. Really can't see this lasting another 8 years when it's struggling to put out the power for even today's games.

Huge downloads and patches every week? I've used the xbox one at least 4 times a week since launch and only once have I ever had to wait for a patch to download and that was when it needed a hard reboot as everything had stalled.

But the fact it downloads patches in standby means I wait far less than I ever did last gen.

I agree 100% about this gen seeming to be all buggy releases and remastered last gen games.

There's yet to be that one "wow!" game.
The way Gears of War or Bioshock was.

This is what I mean. 2007 for me was "THE YEAR OF GAMING" can't see this gen of Xbox doing that for me. I would love to be proved wrong. Maybe it's down to the fact I'm also older and wiser and because I can pretty much afford to buy what I want maybe I'm not as easily pleased. Also graphics wise the last gen wAs a massive leap over the previous gen especially with the advent of HD. This gen has no where near the "wow power" when it comes to graphics. Maybe this x-factor is what I'm missing.

Want to be wowed by graphics, then stump up the money for a powerful pc I'm afraid.
