See comet are doing the standard SKy+ box for 99.
Does that mean prices are about to fall and 160 sky+ box price will drop,

This (I believe  ) is for new customers only. A standard Sky+ receiver is still at least 149 for existing subscribers.....

Doubt it. Sky + was £99 in january for new customers. I think it's been their standard sale price for a while.

I certainly expect the SKY+160 to drop in price but not before the Thomson badged SKY+ HD is launched which could be anything from 3 months to 15 months.
Deals are always being renewed though so it's quite possible some movement on hardware price and installation costs could be changed in the near future.

A friend at work got a letter from SKY offering SKY+ for £49 if he took multiroom as well, didn't see the letter so can't comment on the status of the hardware nor the fact that he already had multiroom and if they wanted him to have it twice:)

No harm in waiting since inital setup costs are not going to increase but sooner or later you have to bite the bullet and buy the kit:)
