So is it or is LCD better? Im finding it hard to see the difference between them.

It's hard to say which is better, they both have strengths and weaknesses. LCDs don't get burn in at all, but they are more prone to dead pixels. With regards to PQ, you have to view the TVs you're interested in side by side in a showroom. There are just too many different models! There are probably more high def compatible LCD sets around compared to plasmas.

That's not true. LCD burn ins are rare, but it can happen, too!

Agreed. However, make sure you can turn the lights down to a level which you'll have at home. LCD will look better with bright lighting. Plasma will look better with low lighting.

Generally LCD is good if you want to use it a lot with your computer. And LCD is good in bright lighting situations. Good Plasma displays have better viewing angles, better contrast, wider color spectrum and better motion. However, Plasma shows more reflections than LCD, so Plasma is not as good in bright light. Also you should avoid static images with Plasma to avoid burn in. In normal TV use burn in is no problem, though, especially if you're careful during the first few hundred hours of usage.
