I've had the original Samsung player for 18months, it's a bit hit & miss recognising discs and occasionally thinks my TV (CX802) isn't HDR but I've lived with it up till now.
Toying with the idea of getting something more stable and future proofing for DV & would like something multi region.

Does anybody know if there's any plan for on going support for the oppo players once they are no longer available?

I know the Cambridge audio player is near identical, is that MR too?

      What does the community think?

Their our plans for ongoing support, but all of that support will come from China i:e,spare parts, firmware updates.
As UHD is still very much a new media,i would worry about firmware updates

      :)

Oppo has stated that there will be ongoing support, both repairs and updates, for all their equipment with no real end date (as of yet). I wish I hadn't dithered and I missed the boat on the Oppo headphone amp even though I had already bought the PM1 headphones. Regretting it now.
