I'm on Virgin 10M Broadband and just recently I've been having major problems with my wireless connection.

If I plug my Virgin modem direct to my desktop PC I get close to 9.5Mb (according to Broadband Expert speed test). So I assume there is nothing wrong with my Virgin connection.

When I add in my Belkin wireless router the speed drops on my both my desktop PC and my wireless laptop to anything down to 0.3Mb

Is my router knackered or could it be something lease in the router settings that's causing the speed drop off?

When you're connecting via your router are the PC and laptop both connecting wirelessly or is the PC cabled?

If both are connected wirelessly, try connecting one via an ethernet cable.

What's the model number of your Belkin router?

could be incorrect settings in the router. And reboot everything after you add a router into the network
