My tv is failing to turn on now sometimes, I have sound but no picture.

I have also noticed that the picture on the screen has become smaller by about 2-3cm on all sides and no matter what I do it seams to stay the same

    Any ideas guys?

    Hi
I assume that you mean the picture gets smaller from both sides, this is called an east/west fault, not a uncommom problem.
Not sure about the cost of repair but I would imagine less than £90

It could be but it might not be, as with some tvs you can adjust the size of the screen our tv wont allow your to do it anymore

Hi, you say the picture is getting smaller by 2-3 cms on all sides ? If that's the case then you may have excessive EHT (very unlikely) or psu fault. Could be a faulty connector or component. Difficult to say how much it would be to repair. If the tellys 'old' it may be a common and well known fault in which case a reputable repairman may be able to give you a rough quote over the phone. Regards, yt.
