    Hi Folks.

Had my Toshiba 50wh18b for around 2 months. Loved it until last night when on 2 occasions on different channels (digital cable ) there was a very noticeable shift in colour.

The action on screen carried on as normal but for a couple of seconds a green tinge ( most noticeable on the skin tones ) flickered rapdily on and off. All colours on the screen looked like they were being viewed through a green filter?? It appeared to settle down and then did it again 20 minutes later..

I've not tried it out on dvd yet which is coupled up via the component cables..I was thinking it could be the cable signal?

Is this normal on RP tellys or is it a sign something ain't correct?

    Thanks

    Ged

Can't say I've seen anything similar but maybe it's just a slightly iffy scart connection or set top box.
If you aren't seeing this regularly or on all sources, I wouldn't worry too much just yet.

    Best of Luck

    John

PS I still love my 46WH08B after three months!

I have a similar problem with my Tosh 40WH08B.

I get a slight green cast on the the whole screen (ala The Matrix film) and it intermittently goes blue for a split second.

It does this on ALL sources.

Needless to say that it is being 'repaired' at the moment :(
    for the second time.

The first time, the picture just went very blue with some noticable white arcs on the screen.

I only got it back last Monday to find the 'green tint' fault
Probably due to engineers incompetence relating to the first fault.

gedclink - although it is a minor fault, I would consider reporting it to the dealer or to Tosh. If it develops into a bigger fault further down the line, you can say you reported the fault within 2 months.

This will keep you in good stead if everything goes wrong later and will make it much easier to get a replacement if it happens.
