Is my play station knackered

My playstation will only display games with a nice pink/red tinge to the picture.

Does this mean that it's knackered

And yes its chipped

Can anyone help

Not necessarily - have you tried a different connection method, i.e., RF, Composite, S-Video, RGB Scart? It may just be a cable problem. Also try it on a different TV if possible.

Sounds like a bad video connection really... I have this problem on my age old TV because its scart socket is a bit loose. Just re-check the cable connections to make sure its sitting properly. If that fails try another RGB Scart cable as Groundy pointed out.

I tried the RF Cable and it worked perfectly

So it must have been a dodgy cable

A trip to argos for a new cable seems to be the next move
