Well are there any other os's that can like Mac OSX with some software, or does anyone know where I can get MCE and is it worth it?

Hi m8 cant see MS supporting Mac streaming :)

If you have an Intel Mac you can use Windows dual boot.

You can pick MCE2005 up here for £75.

Normally its only sold with hardware, as its meant for OEM hardware builders, but Microdirect look like they are bundling in a free mouse so maybe that's their way of meeting the licensing requirements for it to be sold with hardware.

Normally buying something like the MS Remote (£20) is OK. I use this remote with Xbox and it works great for Media Center functions.

Microsoft holds 50% stake in Apple, so can't see why they won't support it. I guess the demand isn't there.

erm

The company was struggling financially under then-CEO Gil Amelio when on August 6, 1997 Microsoft bought a $150 million non-voting share of the company as a result of a court settlement with Apple
The stock they own (or dont maybe) is non voting stock.

The deal was partially in settlement of Apple suing Microsoft for (allegedly :D ) stealing their OS GUI to make Windows. Fair point I reckon.

Anyway in the scheme of things Apple currently has a market capitalization of $72.13 billion which by my basic maths means MS hold 0.0002% of the company !
