I used to like watching Johnathan Ross and quite enjoyed his familiar 'cheeky' banter but lately he has become downright crude, vulgar and extremely cringeworthy.

His recent interview on his 'chat show' with Nicole Kidman was disgraceful and is one of the worst pieces of TV I have ever seen, on a par with the infamous 'post '9/11 Question Time'.
The way he spoke about her mother (in jest or not) was uncalled for and clearly upset Nicole who almost walked off!

So after missing it for a few weeks I thought I'd give it another go.
    (Wish I hadn't bothered!)

And last night with Kelly Osbourne...."Do your parents still enjoy sex together?"

    How infantile is that?

He just aint funny anymore (OK his humour has always beeen a bit contrived) .
He has to be the new 'king of cringe' ?

The problem is that he's always been a one-trick pony.

Still, has radio show can be amusing, as he has to keep the vulgarity reasonably in check.

It's a sad reflection on weekend tv that he's still seen as one of the major chat show forces - he seems to have been around for years, and years and years.

Still, better than mr-sucky-uppy Parkinson, the Steve Wright of TV!

His interview of Pamela Anderson was really embarassing to watch. She's no favourite of mine but she deserved a bit more respect than she received from 'Wossy'

i usually like Johnathan Ross but i have to agree the pam anderson interview was awful made me cringe i think his chat show has gone on too long and should be cancelled. half his guests have been on many time before anyway and have nothing new to say apart from plugging a new film

Quite simply, he's just an appalling man. I recognise he must have some talent to be able to achieve the things he has. However, he's not really as funny as he thinks he is. I too saw the Pammy interview, which was truly awful.
Whenever i see him doing interviews, i usually feel rather embarrassed for him.
    Not comfortable viewing...

I like Rossy, but lately he does seem to becoming more and more crude on his talk show.

The guy can do a good interview, and has shown as much many times on the Film 200x shows he does.

So is he being reigned back on Film 200x ? Or have better script writers/researchers on that show?

We were going to use him for a corporate do a few years ago. His management requested some names and other facts about the staff so that his scriptwriters could write his "ad libs" for him.

to be fair they all do that for the corporate events........they have to personalise it...and make 'fred in the back office' feel important. But basically I do think JR's too in love with himself...he used to really annoy me on 'They think it's all over'.....nobody else could get a word in!
