Is it worth upgrading?

I have put together a sytem built around my xbox360 for my games room. I have the JVC DS6 lcd panel and the yamaha AV57 sound setup and games on the 360 look and sound great. I also watch a lot of movies via the 360 but the picture is not that good. Banding can be seen on dark/grey colours and sometimes severe pixelation. Would there be a big improvement if I added the denon 1920 DVD player for watching movies.

also if anyone has any tips for getting the best picture out of the DS6 please let me know :)

From what I've seen of the 360's DVD output compared to players with DCDi (such as the 1920 and the Oppo I own), I'd give it a resounding YES.

You might want to demo the 1920 first though as it has lip-synch issues over HDMI; have a look through the threads about it on here.
