With Freeview Thanks Guys
If you want freeview then wait till September for the 160GB model DMR-EH60D. This model should have two tuners.
Blimey! Sounds like the ultimate machine
Interesting. Does anyone know what it will use for an EPG?
I presume it won't be particularly cheap.....
I cannot WAIT for the EH60D. Not sure yet whether it has the twin freeview tuners, but it will have the 160 GB HDD, DV in, SD (which will quite possibly record MPEG 2 --> 4). Very exciting!
found a price quoted of £499 inc with sept delivery for the DMREH60 with 160Gb. does anyone have more details of spec
just found a japanese site which gives a 300Gb hard drive for the DMREH60
whats the website? and would the japanese one work here? like the psp's.
I've seen a Panasonic Dealer brouchure that says the UK Spec machine is the same as the DMREH50 with 160GB instead of 80GB and in addition, will have one Freeview tuner.
The EPG is Panasonic's own i.e. not guide+ unfortunately. However, as it will have the freeview box I assume it will use the same EPG as my DTX40 TV which I think is fine (can't say it's better or worse as haven't used others)
The price I've been told is also "sub £500" on a September release and if that's the official price you can bet once availability is across all mainstream web stores that you will be able to knock at least £50 off that.
Sounds as though we're getting a decent machine at last.
Be interesting to see how Sonys' offerings will compare!
try this to get onto jap web site for 300Gb unit
only NTSC not PAL!
The current EH50 in America has 100GB drive and EPG
Why were treated to a lower spec machine?
