Is it worth playing through SP for the gun unlocks?

As title, i have no interest in the single player story, but is it worth wizzing through it just for gun unlocks you cannot get any other way?

Are the guns decent guns to use?

I remember Anodyne telling me that the Support rifle you get at towards the end of the campaign is actually equal to the very last LMG you unlock in multiplayer, think all the stats are equal.

I really should nip through the campaign aswell as I've noticed there are a few weapons that are only unlocked that way.

There pretty so-so Imo, P90 is all right but for the PDW weapons I can't see past the UMP 45.
The Saw's a weird one for me though, I used it all the time in BF3 but this one is terrible for me, your barn door would definitely be safe this time round.

Your biggest issue may be even getting them to open for you, I've lost my SP progress 3 times so although I've completed the game & got my gun unlocks I'm unlikely to bother with it again to find the rest of the dogtags .

I played through on hard and it wasn't. I replayed most levels on easy and didn't really notice much difference.

I'd do it, but i quite enjoyed it, especially on hard as it didn't seem too taxing. Platinum trophy for me, so i'm done with the SP now.

Do you have to do the final chapter 3 times to unlock all the weapons?

I completed the final chapter and unlocked 1 weapon.

Probably for the first time it is actually worth playing SP just for the enjoyment.
Its the only BF campaign I've ever played and did enjoy it. It wont take long either way

Yes, just reload the last level and make different choices. Silver trophy awaits I believe.

Fortunately, the last level is also the shortest. Just a shame you can't skip the cut scenes!
