Is it worth it?

Hi guys, my setup is a simple one :)

Samsung 37" LCD
PS3
Sky HD

If i turn my speakers past 50% output on my Tv then it cant handle it. Which is a bit frustrating when im trying to enjoy a concert on sky hd or watching movies etc.

So i need to upgrade my speakers.

I was thinking along the lines of getting a 300quid amp and 150quid suround sound speakers. But then that comes to 450quid and just thinking is it worth it?

Then i come along this Yamaha YSP-600 Home Cinema Digital Sound Projector which would fit lovely in my self that i have spare. What are your impressions on these guys.

I also would have liked to have gone for the Onkyo HT-X22HD Home Cinema System but the subwoofer/amp wont fit in the shelf, and the yamaha would look alot neater.

What would you recommend for me, considering i need atleast 2 hdmi in, futureproof and around the 300quid mark.

Thanks alot

Yes, it is worth it. The Yamaha is a reasonably good bit of kit but a proper 5.1 set up will sound better. Have you thought about an all in one like the Sony HTSF-1300. Ok, it does have a dvd player with it but its slimmer than a stand alone amp and with rather nice speakers too.
