Is it worth getting a second sub?

    System comprises Audiolab 8000p and 8000c amps, Monitor Audio PMC 703 speakers. Kef 30B sub is next to right speaker, there is room for a second sub next to left speaker. is it worth picking one up form e bay or somewhere or would it make little difference to sound?

    I would say you would be better getting a better sub than a second one

    Nick,
    I'm currently toying with the same idea and after alot of reading and word of mouth
    it seems to me that adding a second sub on to the centre speaker via LFE & hi-level
    is a good idea, while using the 1st sub for the .1 LFE effects.
    According to the MJ acoustic site in order to gain a true "cinema reference sound"
    it helps if every speaker channel has a sub attached via the hi level feed.

    Alternatively you could put the subs on the left and right mains, with sub set to none, and LFE routed to mains....
