    just a general question guys.

been with virgin media for about 7 years now have the broadband and all channels think the missis is paying aprox 42 per month ( no phone ).

we have a 55" plasma which we have had couple of years, the sd pictures ok on virgin as we got used to picture but all this hd just wanted to know is it really worth changing to sky hd? for better channels picture etc.

and would it work out cheaper than virgin?

I've never had Virgin Media so i dont know much about it or anything about how the picture quality is on it.

However i recently upgraded to Sky HD after having normal Sky for the last 3-4 years, and dont regret it at all.

The difference between SD and HD channels on my Samsung 42" Plasma is pretty impresive IMO.

If you get Sky HD with all the normal 6 entertainment mixes, it will cost you £31.25 per month.
(Plus £49 for the Sky HD box, and free installation as you're a new customer)

If you get Sky HD with either Sky Sports OR Sky Movies it will cost you £47.25 per month.
(Plus £49 for the Sky HD box, and free installation as you're a new customer)

If you get Sky HD with BOTH Sky Sports AND Sky Movies it will cost you £55.75 per month.

Well first how about trying to get the V+ for £50 down from VM and try out some HD VOD and BBCHD, no penalty cancellation I believe so you'll get an idea of how good HD can be compared to SD without the need to change providers right now.
