    Hi

Ok my shortlist is now down to the Strata V and MJ REF 1 MK II ....

the reason for the question is that the best shop i have near me is a sevenoaks S&V and the auditioning room is no bigger than a coffin :(

Point being is it worth me going thru a possible charade of an audition if its not going to simulate my home set up???

I know sevenoaks will let me buy and exchange if not satisfied upto ten days

    cheers

I'd express your doubts to the staff about the validity of a demo in such a small room. Then take both subs home and try them for a week to see if you have a preference. Then you can return one of them and tell us all about it.

Well it sounds like a plan to me. :D

If you want to take both subs home for demo at the same time then you should expect to pay for both initially whilst they are out of the shop, they will then refund you when they come back to the shop in the same condition they left.

I dont think a sub (or speakers) are worth demoing in a shop beyond getting a very rough impression.
