Question Is it time to give up on my projector?

My projector is currently showing a faded pink screen. Does this mean something major has gone kaput? Initially I thought the bulb was going but someone said it might be one of the primary colour panels.

Sounds terminal without probably spending a fair bit of money. Optical block probably at fault which would probably cost more than the pj is worth.

What pj is it and how old is it, also how many hours has it clocked up.

Thanks for your response kbfern.

It's an Epsom EMP 1715 about ten years old. Hasn't clocked up a crazy amount of hours but I guess at 10 years old, enough!

That model was launched in 2006 so 11yrs old, You could buy a new pj today with a better spec for under £500.
