is it the dot pitch?

what exactly is the reason that lcds 'always' beat out plasmas for use as pc monitors (ie. crisper text, sharper corners, etc.) ?

are we saying that at the same resolution and size (let's say 1920x1080 on a 42'') the lcd will be better than a plasma (at the same 1080p resolution and feed)? if so, is it the dot pitch (like in pc monitors) that is smaller in lcds or is it something else?

technical explanation appreciated although a short answer will also do.

thanks!

Very good question, i'd also like to know. Whatever plasma lovers say, whatever you do and whichever angle you look from, LCD is ALWAYS pin-sharp in comparison with plasma.

Why? :) Pasma also has fixed pixels, right? What causes picture sharpness closer to crt and not even close to LCD?

I know that someone will say that plasma has more natural sharpness and that lcd looks artificial, but for me that's BS, because pixel-sharp image is always an advantage and never a flaw. You can allways blur the image if you want it to look like plasma :)
