Is it possible to install XP onto a network or a USB flash so that it boots from it? I want to build a PC without a HD and am wondering if it's possible. If so are there step by step instructions on how to do it?

    Thanks,
    Dave.

you can boot XP from a usb pen drive, you just need to perform a nice tidy installation with a few tweaks such as disabling VM, relocating temp files, so the flash disk doesnt get knackered too quickly...

This came up in a thread not so long back.... a few guys here had some good links to useful sites, I found quite a few just googling for 'USB bootable XP' or something similar.... It doesn't looktoo dificult if you know Windows installations reasonably well..

a forum search for 'XP flash disk' or similar should find the thread, from a few months back.. :)
