Hi all im currently looking to buy a new sub to replace the cheap AS one i bought recently. Problem is i only have £100 to spend.

I like loads of bass and was wondering is it possible? Have been looking at the

ELTAX SYMPHONY SUB

TANGENT MILLENNIUM SUB

and the

WHARFEDALE VARDUS VRSUB which is a little over my budget.

Any help would be great thank you

In all honesty, probably not.

Unless you pick up an unusual second hand bargain, £100 won't even get close to getting you anything that does decent bass well.

£200-300 might just about get you something that is liveable with new, but most good subs are all in the £500+ region.

I think if your limit is 100, the the connected acoustics sub 10 is probably as good as you could expect. Its obviously not going to scare any of the big boys, but for the money it certainly looks a lot of sub, and I doubt you could complain for the money. Certainly, no buyers seem to have any complaints.

Search for a thread called 'is this sub worth a punt' if it interests you.
