just bought a panasonic DMR EZ27 is it me or does it take long time starting up

They take a fair amount of time when starting from mains on (using power saving mode on the EX77, I suppose the EZ27 also has this). Take less time if already on standby but this wastes power.

I switch all my equipment off at the mains when not in use.
