Am i the only one bored already of Gears of War? I mean, yes i was stunned by the game when i first got it, and im playing through the campaign on insane atm but online muliplayer with 4 friends gets more boring every night with the limited amount of decent maps and the fact someone off the other team alwasy drops.

Now dont get me wrong, its a great game, but without any additional mpas very soon i think a lot of people are bored of it, all my mates are :thumbsdow

I sold my copy after 2 weeks of playing the game. The graphics and scenery are very impressive but the gameplay just doesn't feel right to me.

I'll have to admit I'm not crazy about it, I haven't played it for a while cos of other stuff. Offline was fantastic, but online the kids on the ranked games put me off a lot.

I'm sure I'll get back to it someday though.

I played it through and have not really played since. Online is way too limited and offers very little.

Offline is great, but very short lived. I doubt the game will ever go into my 360 again, but I still loved it and would buy GOW2 if it was the same again..

its one of those sit down on yer hols for two whole days dont go out and just sink into the experience games and then bam thats it no need to play it again or go online.

GOW2 will still get a purchase so from a games makers point of view they have had the sales from me but its just got no depth as mentioned in another post its an 'action movie' not a fantasy triliogy type thing :)

Yes it can be a little stale, it needs something to liven it up a bit. Hopefully the new maps aint far. But sorry its still the best game ever.:)

I loved it online....at first but it did become old very quickly.it suffers badly from repetitive gameplay...i mean i joined a server offering 1st to ten and we had 19 games on the same map in a row !!! by the end i just wanted it to end ! it also suffers from the usual eejits who must win at any cost so always use the shottie or just round pressing 'x' repeatedly to nade tag people.

they need to patch it to allow different maps and maybe even simple tdm's with respawns ?

I got it on Launch day and still can't stop playing it. For me, it is the best game i have ever played and i'll be playing it for a long time.

I hope everyone doesn't get bored of it and play something else as i need to play against people to get that 10,000 kills achievement

it grabbed me for 2 weeks and didn't let go.

Now i've not played it for about 3 weeks. The gameplay does get a little dull, but its a great game to show the power of the 360 off.

I do agree with the OP. I personally think GoW's biggest problem has been Rainbow 6. When ever I look at my friends list, the majority are playing R6 online.

As an online experience, R6 has offered more fun, is a far more social game, and seems to offer more maps and options. Don't get me wrong, GoW is a superb game, but R6 has the longevity :)

GOW is a showcase game, it just didnt grab me as there was no magic about it, the first levels gfx are great but as time goes on there is no variation its like it was rushed for early release.. so for me 8/10

GOW 2 will be fully developed and not rushed so it should be even more amazing

I didn't like it from the very first time I put the disc in. Played it a few times on and offline, hated every second, haven't put it in since, and am about to trade it in to knock a bit off the price of a new 360! Mine died at Xmas.

I suppose it would be a boring world if we all loved the same stuff.

Bit of a weird one for me.
After the first few hours play it'd made it into my top 10 games, maybe even the top 5. After another hour or two, I'd finished it, and its never been back in my 360 since. :D

Great game for me, but was really disappointed with the length of it (no sniggering at the back).

Finally some honest opinions. GOW has created so much hype that even those who found it subconsciously boring thought they were enjoying the game.

mayby if people stopped playing so much of it in a small period of time, they would find it less boring.
but yes i will agree that more multiplayer maps are needed. still, the reason you probably find it boring online is because you dont talk to your teammates. i know this applies for all online games. but talking to your team mates and getting new strategies to defeat the oposing team is always good fun. because its not like playing bots, each enemy on the other team will have a different mode of combat making you think of new ways to think of how to defeat them
