My old Pace DTVA is playing up and I've started to look at a replacement. Looking here on AV forums put me on to the HUMAX PVR‑8000T which looks good value at £144. I know its only got one tuner but I can't justify spending more money on something like the Pace twin.

Anyway, I have been reading some reviews on the Humax and one of them reckoned that it was noisy, presumably the HD being the culprit. Could any other 8000T users here give their opinions on this?

    Cheers,

Like I said, I can't justify spending that much. You have to draw a line somewhere and my line is at £144.

My Humax is pretty quiet, a damb site quieter than my Panasonic s-vhs deck anyway.
