I have noticed that when watching e4 on my widescreen, the people look fine, then i was fiddling around and noticed that when i set it to 4:3 (on tv) they all still looked fine and not squashed, obviously squashed compared to 16:9 but not unusual.

    I investigated further.

Ran into other room, after mentally noting where e4 logo was (right in corner on 16:9 :smashin: ) and pressed sky on second 4:3 tv, no change, e4 logo still in top left and people looking normal.

Ran back to widescreen, and changed picture setting in sky to 4:3, and it looked exactly the same as before, but on all other channels it was stretched as one would expect!

never tried this with any program other than friends, could that be it?!

also how annoying is it having the score of a football game right in the middle of the screen when you pay so much for a nice widescreen!!!

i am sure its 16/9 set your tv to 4/3 and watch the opening credits, the name will barely fit on the screen, set to 16/9 watch again and the names fit ok

That's right - programmes such as Friends are broadcast 4:3, whereas newer programmes (Point Pleasant, Desperate Housewives, Smallville etc) are broadcast as 16:9.

How are you feeding the second TV. If its from RF2 and if this is set to 4:3 in the setup menu then maybe the STB is adjusting the logo position. Possible ???
