Is Denon 3803 being discounted yet?

Now that a replacement model has been announced, is it possible to find the 3803 available significantly below £650 anywhere?

Thanks

Now at £589 somewhere mentioned on here recently. I don't think £499 is out of the question, maybe even less but it'll be a while for those as they'll be the 'dregs' which remain.

£599 delivered is the cheapest i can find for now.

Can anyone remember how much the 3802 was selling for when the 3803 was released? I don't want to wait too long only to find all the 3803's have been sold.

The 3802's sold for £500 before they sold out and was discontinued.

3802s dropped as low as £450 with some retailers after the 3803 was released.

Bear in mind, however, that there will be a LOT of 3803s to be sold off, so I'd expect prices to fall slowly rather than dramatically.

I don't think we'll see the absolute bargain prices until May/June time.

Buy a bundle from who? Denon have none left at all and are not taking any orders on any 3803s only 3805s. If anyobdy has any left them grab 'em while you can because you can't order one. If the retailer says they can order you one then they are lying.

If a retailer says they can order you one it may very well be from another store, in which case they're not lying.

I wouldn't expect Denon to have any left, but - as with the 3802 - retailers are more than likely going to have massive overstock.

It's right that Richers may not get hold of any (infact they may already have a load which they're not selling).

Has anybody else noticed that Richers aren't really selling receivers above the £300 mark anymore? I miss their ventures into the mid-range market myself.

Yes. Obv. not selling enough volume or not a big enough margin. I'm all ready and waiting for the 3803 @ £299 now :suicide:

I know of at least 2 retailers who do not have any in stock.

I asked them if I could demo teh KEFs with one and both said they had none in stock let alone for demo !

In the last RS brochure i picked up i think the Pioneer AX3 at £600 was the most expensive receiver they had listed.
