Dunno, let you know when I've received it from Movietyme ;)

Gotta be better than the (frankly) poor DD mix though...

I have the Norwegian R2 version of Black Hawk Down which has a DTS track and it is quite dreadful whilst i thought the DD track was simply sublime, the DTS version is lifeless and undynamic with little rear channel presence whatsoever.
I thought the R1 DD track was fantastic but actually prefer the R2 (Norway) DD version to either the R1/R2(U.K) and R2 DTS - The Norway DD track is at the lower DD bit-rate too! compared with the U.K release which is at the higher U.S standard bit-rate.

    regards

    Steven

    Totally agree with Steven's post.

I purchased the Norwegian disc soley for the dts soundtrack and was surprised when the dutch dd soundtrack turned out to be the best of the lot. I was gutted thinking I wasted £20 but the Nor dd was what I expected of the dts track.

Whether the R1 dts is the same as the Nor dts remains to be seen.

I got my copy in today and I must say the package looks great.
Four discs in a digipack ala Vista Series style.

I looked at the picture quality and listened to the dts soundtrack in a few scenes and my first impression is that it looks and sounds great !
The dts track sounds better than the first region 01 release (I cannot comment on the 3 disc release from Juni since I don't have it).

I will post more when I watched the whole picture.

Just watched mine, and it is superb.I thought the R2 i had was very dark, but this Superbit is spot on.The very dark nights scenes contain all the details, and the sound is stunning.
I think this shows how good it can be,it shames the version i owned previously....probably the best i've heard and seen.Plus all the extras!

You can hear why this soundtrack won an academy award when you hear it at the cinema :)
As it was the cinema released soundtrack and not the dvd one that won the award.

Adz's, boy your up early on a sunday moring ;)
