Is 60000 hours on a Barco 801 too much

    Looking at a Barco 801 with 60000 on the clock.

    Although the tubes are clean, I am worried that the linearity of the tubes may have decayed because of the long hours.

    Anyone like to comment.

    It's high but not a record.

    I'm not entirely sure what you mean by linearity. You could find that light output is down because there cathode is getting low on electons.

    I would look closely at the electrostatic focus with a low resoloution internal patern, especially the green.

    Listen for bad whistling from the EHT circuits indicating the Spitter or Quadrupler are starting to break down.

    Appart from that 801 PJ tend to just keep going
