    Hi :hiya:

I'm getting Sky+ tomorrow and will be linking it to my Sony 795 receiver via optical connection.

On Saturday, I bought a 5m long custom install optical cable from sounds expensive in Rugby and was assured it was up to the job.

Reading the Lektropacks site tonight, it says you shouldn't go over 4.8m unless you buy an optical amplifier

From your experiences, do you think it'll be ok? Also, never having used these cables before (always coax for digital), how will I know it's not working correctly (ie. what should I look for)?

    Cheers guys & gals,

    Simon
