Good work on starting the threads.
Very impressive steelbook this one. Lovely embossing. Nice glossy finish. Still not at ridiculous prices, if you come across one pick it up.
Anyone have any pics of their copy they could upload?
Been on the hunt for both Iron Man steels for a while now as I wasn't collecting at the time they were on play. Finally managed to get a copy of this for a semi-reasonable price of £21 delivered, seen some crazy prices on eBay for this film, never mind the first one. Now to find a cheapish copy of Iron Man!!
ridiculous price !
Not anymore, that's right at the bottom end of the scale!
wud ony pay £30 for that
Then you'll probably never own it!
ino prob ..... crazy ur practically payin lyk £60 for a case its ********
I'm glad I didn't like Iron Man 2 or I'd be insanely jealous of these steelbooks.
Talking about the first film, minimum price is £50 on eBay and no-one is going to want to trade it for anything worth less than that. Unless you get lucky at somewhere like CeX then it would be very difficult to pick it up for £30 or less (certainly for the foreseeable future anyway).
It's a good looking steel but Iron Man 2 was very poor so agree with you 100%.
Think it's probably me who thinks both SB and film are pants.
Was always 100% certain that this would fall in price from the hyped up price at the start.
Be back to normal retail price by xmas, imo.
Sadly, IM will not lol.
I don't agree. I think this one will raise in price too. It looks great and whether or not the film is any good or not is not really relevant as people will buy it to complete their Avengers collection regardless.
I think the film was good and the artwork on the steelbook is better than the first one IMHO
there's only one place the price will go is up,if you look at all the rest, iron man ,thor, captain america ,i think avenger's will in time and incredible hulk now that's gone out oos ,make's me wished i kept my thor now for longer
Incredible Hulk is not Out Of Stock.
How do you know mate? It says usually ships within 1-2 weeks which usually indicates OOS
I'm sorry but I think it is. When it the 'usually dispatched in 1-2 weeks' status, it means it is out of stock and it will take that time for a new shipment to arrive. Of course they won't be getting any more copies of this. I placed an order last week and it is sitting at 'awaiting stock' just like two orders for the Iron Man steelbook I have.
OK fair enough
strange though, we both know normally the holding page disappears altogether when they exhaust stock on that site
Why did you bid 30 and waste some bodies time then ?
It is a bit weird, I guess it's just slipped under the radar with all the other Steelbooks at the moment. I think it will eventually either come back in stock (possible as this is the first time it's gone and they usually come back once or twice) or it will be removed from sale.
Back in Stock!?

£19.99 from play.com (not a market place seller)
Well found! Yep, just ordered. Now awaiting what I sense will be a cancellation email...
They just need to do this with Iron man for £10.99
One can dream....
I'm seriously gonna be broke soon, so much ordered in recent weeks. Just ordered 2 copies & it's processing .
Wonder how come they suddenly had IM2 stock again? And also wonder if this might apply to other oos/oop items in the near future...
All gone now. Watch this space for Iron Man 1.
Glad some people got to order some! I regularly check plays steelbooks and when I saw it for £19.99 thought it odd as traders there sell it for £30+ usually.
