Recently got a Pronto, got it all programmed up and am delighted with it - for the next step I'd like to automate my HCPC.

Have read good things about both on these forums (have a Radeon 9700 btw) and am just wondering which remote device is best for my purposes.

    TIA :)

    The IRman.

Radeon Remote Wonder is useless with your Pronto, it being a "standalone" remote.

If you can spend some time with Girder, far better results available.

    Thanks Kramer, much obliged :)

So, for IRman I know you get the receiver unit and a remote - do these come seperately as I obviously wouldn't need the remote? You can wire these to power on the PC itself too can't you?

Damn, just spent all that time learning how to use Pronto Edit and now I have to figure out Girder too!

No, you just get the IRman receiver (all you need).

    Girder is downloadable (free).

Girder isn't that difficult to master. Just start with the basics & expand when you've a little more experience with it.

Your .ccfs are useable with Girder so no hard work wasted :)
