Okay so somebody emailed me this!

Are they real or fake? I think they're fake but others seem completely convinced that they are real!

they are real spiders, but look at the way the photograph has been taken, it is forcing you to believe it is huge wneh infact it has been taken at close range with soldiers in background to force the perspective.

They are real but there is two of them in that picture, not one big one! And they don't run at 10mph, jump 3 ft or scream at you or anything else written about them! They are nocturnal however, as they live in the desert and it is just too bloody hot to go out during the day!!!

Yep, real enough, but as usual these days, their description is over exaggerated.

Snopes is always my first port of call when such e mails are circulated. I get very unpopular when I 'reply to all' with the appropriate Snopes URL :)

allegedly, it killed their dog too (the view of the owners, not the vet)

call me a cynic, but I can't shake the feeling this is a family seeking their fifteen minutes and parading their nubile 18 year old daughter (obviously the DM's and Sun's links ... with Sun 'reader' calzaghe101's story comment "Cassie is fit!!")

When I first saw these spiders I thought they looked cool and the stories about them seemed real.

Looking in to it a bit more realised they are not as scary as I thought :-( but they still look pretty freaky as do all spiders though.

Something about the look in their multiple eyes  that makes me think they would like nothing better than to wrap me up in there web and suck my insides out. And yes I do watch too many horror films :rotfl:

Yes, even if it is bull, I still wouldn't want to find one of those in my sleeping bag.

I've been pretty sceptical of all these types of emails since I got that one about KFC chickens being 3-legged mutants in about 1996. Bear in mind that me and my best mate were at that time getting caned and eating a Megabucket every Friday night, so we had a vested interest in not believing it!

Did you go to boarding school too:D, I don't think you could suck one of these scary looking beasties with your dust devil hand held vacume cleaner, (that's what I use mines for) much better than smearing them all over your walls:thumbsup:

to be honest i would still be ****** off if that was'nt a bcc reply, at the end of the day you are still creating a list for somebody to harvest even if you do think you are being helpful or clever.
