Hi., I'm looking for a ir repeater sincve all will be built in. I can se that there exist 2 main versions standard and plasma (lcd-) proof.

Is it necessary to have plasmaproof when having a plasma - ie is it a real or cosnstructed problem?

PLasma and LCD displays can pump out a lot of IR noise which can lock up these systems you'll never know if its going to effect you until you try. The location of the sensor is what matters when it comes to this it needs to be seen by the handset and not by the spurious IR (worst from Samsung Plasma and Sony/Samsung LCD) but all screens emit some IR noise
