IR Extenders

I need an RF device to extend the IR of my AV32R remote into my loft (it's a bungalow, and the AV32R, power amp and my Sonos all sit above the ceiling).

I can control the Sonos easily because it has an RF controller, but I don't want to use the digital colume control on the Sonos; instead I want to use the AV32R volume control via the remote.

I see these:

And these:

Does anybody know if these will work with the AV£"R remote?

Any Philips Pronto type alternative suggestions, bearing in mind my possession of a Luddite wife. ;)

I use the Philips TSU9600 with the RFX9400 wireless extender with a wired IR cable into the AV32r which works perfectly.

Goes down very well with the whole house hold as you can customise the the layout so much and make it very simple to use and have complex aternative screens for your advanced operations.

The cost may seem alot, but once you have used one you would not go back another remote.

I can see that I am going to have to do some more reading on this subject.

Due to a timewaster we are now a two AV32R EX SP BP-192 family. One black, one silver. Black matches my kit better but I must say I do prefer slightly the silver. Looks more expensive....

And yet black seems to sell much better and for a better price. I suppose that a lot of high end gear was always black, and I reckon consumer av kit will be going black soon - look at the SkyHD box.

Still, I'll keep my silver one and my black one, I think.
