IR Extender

Hi

I am going to build a new unit to house my AV gear and I want this to be completely hidden from view.

I have seen pictures of similar units where people have small wires with end bits that stick over the IR sensor on each piece of equipment. There must be 1 sensor at the other end on view - this allows you to still control these units via a pronto.

I have searched to find these units on the net without success so far, can anyone point me in the right direction please,

I've got Xantech kit, got it via eBay, for about a quarter of the price in the UK (even with customs charges ). It's fantastic kit and I'd highly recommend it.


In the uk it's available from www.letsautomate.com

Keene system is cheaper, but some have reported that the IR sensor is a little weak.
