Does anyone know if there have been any reviews yet of the Kef iQ series ?
yeah, in the latest what(s) hifi sound and vision...was their 400 quid floorstander - got 5 stars...
I would have a listen over refering to anothers review. I wouldn't by a shirt without trying it first (and i love a shirt!)
Looking at your sig, i honestly doubt they they will be wildly differing to that which you have (and i love a Kef!)
I have just changed my Q7's for the new IQ9's. A much better speaker in all departments. Treble has been improved and is sweeter whilst extending further. As the speakers are now front ported, using two drivers instead of the racetrack, bass is much better controlled and does not boom in our room as the Q7's used to. They are still running in and improving and having heard the Reference 203's I think Kef may have a real winner on their hands with this range.
Don't put all your faith in What Hi-Fi - they probably didn't unbox them! The IQ5's are quite nice though...
Well there you are. Until i get to hear them i will reserve judgement but again (and as i have often said) what is actually better and what is different are all to often completely different things.
As a long time owner of the 203's (as well as 201's and a 202c with 34ds's) i look forward to hearing the iq9's and will judge your favourable comparison accordingly.
Purely subjective mate - completely agree with you regarding how "difference" is quantified!
I would love to own a pair of 203's but the Mrs would batter me with her rolling pin if she knew I had spent £3k on speakers. Sneaking the IQ9's past the "domicile director" was hard enough!
