ipod video lost my progress bar

I seem to have lost my progress bar while a song is playing and have instead five dots which sometimes seem to change to stars. I can't decide if this is the scrubber bar or some sort of song rating facility.

Can someone tell me what it is, and how to switch it off! Had a look through the manual on the apple site but it doesn't help!

thanks.

Of course, I tried pressing the centre button again lots of times to no effect.

However pressing it just now and it has returned, and it seems to toggle between scrubber bar / rating options quite logically. I think my ipod has just had it's first "moment". :rolleyes:

Looks like you've got this one sorted. Pressing the centre button togles through the following options;
1. A diamond-this allows you to fast forward/reverse the track.
2. Full size artwork.
3. Rating - so you can give the song a star rating. Up to 5 stars.
4. Back to volume control.

Enjoy your iPod.
