    Hi,

Is there a way to set itunes to only update latest ripped cd's? As it takes ages to update nearly all 3000 songs I have, and then boosting volume as well nearly takes 50 mins, and exhausting battery on my Ipod.

    Kind regards

    Darren

Hmm that's weird. Mine just downloads the latest songs that I've ripped/downloaded and placed in my music directory.

You can turn off automatic update, but you'll have to manually move songs onto it within itunes.

As for boosting volume, I used a program to remove the EU restriction and enable the volume to go higher. Couldn't be bothered with normalising or increasing the volume of everything.

    Hi Starvald

Thanks for getting back to me. What volume software did you use to remove EU restriction?

What settings have got in Itunes that only updates latest ripped cd's?

if you set manual updates, you can then select which playlists it will automatically update.

it's in the ipod preferences on iTunes

Ahh but that doesn't include the on-the-go playlist.

iTunes *always* copies the existing one to a new list i.e. On-The-Go-1 then wipes it ! Does anyone have any idea why as this has meant I stopped using iTunes ??
