    Hi all,

I have just purchaed a 160GB iPod Classic and need advice/suggestions as to what the best protective case is for it. I would prefer something minimalistic like a basic silicon outer but with access to the controls. Can you please include direct links to recommmended places to purchase from in your suggestions too.

I would appreciate you advice or suggestions as my last iPod was the original 20GB with a clickwheel, which is still working by the way.

    Thanks in advance.

    Chris.

Makes a change to find you over here Chris ;-)

iSkin or zCover are probably the two main silicon sleeve sellers ... InCase do a neoprene one ...

Plenty of choice at the online AppleStore: http://store.apple.com/Apple/WebObj...mco=92EE50FB&node=home/ipod_accessories/cases

Best place to buy on the high street ? Maybe John Lewis or Currys/Comet will carry a few ... for the best choice however if you can get across to Glasgow and treat yourself to an hour or two perusing the stock at the AppleStore in Buchanan Street ... let me know your coming and if I'm around we'll grab a coffee in Starbies opposite :)

    I recently upgraded from a 80GB 5.5g iPod to a 160GB classic.

The 'Incase' leather case that I bought from the Apple store fits fine, but I find that the clickwheel does not work when it is in the case, presumably because the wheel is much more sensitive on the Classic.

    Anyone else finding this?

I might just take you up on that Jon. I think I would like to see and try out the cases in the flesh so to speak so that I can sure that I'm entirely happy with it. I might pop through there this Sunday for about 11am. PM me with your contact details if you are free then and we can have a natter about iPods and Arcam. :D

Hi, I have an invisible shield on mine, protects from scratches etc but dont think it would protect against any knocks. I picked this type as I didnt want to add any bulk to my Ipod. Ive ordered direct from suppliers in NA without any problems and have ordered for my PSP and guys at work several times.

check out the demos where it compares against other plastic shields when scratching with keys
