Ipod Battery

    Hi I think I already know the answer to this I purchased a new ipod 60gig a few weeks ago photo battery lasts about an 1hr and seems to drain really quick when attached to the PC through the usb 2. I thought this was supposed to charge it ? Anyone else had this and whats your advice Cheers

    Yes...battery life can be very short.

    if you adjust the backlight time-out to 5 s or less,and dont use the fast forward facilities or the games,then it can be extended pretty dramatically,as i found mine lasted for a few hours initially,and now manages a fairly decent time between charges.

    There are quite a lot of comments about battery life around various places on the net,but it should manage more than 1 hour,esp if you adjust a few of the settings.

    Its all abit academic now as the hard drive looks to have crashed and the ipod does not respond to any commands.
