Hi. I have my iPhone X to my son, but the battery runs out very quickly and the lightning port connection is poor (tried cleaning but no joy).

What the best way to to this serviced and a bee battery? Via Apple, or any recommended agent?

Anyone done this, and how much did it cost?

Thanks.

Via Apple it’s £69 for the battery.
Any other repair (non-battery, non-screen) is £526

@Autopilot have you tried wireless charging with it?
iPhone X supports wireless charging & would bypass the lightning port.

Cheap £20-30 solution without paying the Apple price for an ‘other’ repair or risk going to a 3rd party who might just make things worse (& prob still cost a fair bit).

Yeah wireless charging is mainly what my son (who inherited it from me) uses.

Main issue though is the battery running out extremely quickly.

An old phone so just take it down to your local Mr Fixit who'll put a new one in for 20 quidish

I personally would recommend that you use Apple for the new battery. From my experience the third party ones have been poor quality.
