iphone surround sound/dock connections help?

Hello,

I would like to connect my iphone4 to my existing sony surround sound system and tv for sound,film,etc and was just wondering what the best options are?

I do not have a dock or any connections at the moment.

Would it be best to go straight to Apple for a dock and separate connections? If so, what are the best connections for audio and visual output?
