Hiya

I've got an Iphone 3GS that i've unlocked and using my Vodaphone sim card.
Because Vodafone have now started selling the iphone i assume i don't need it to be unlocked in the way i have but i'd like it to be legit so i can upgrade the firmware.
Whats the best way to go about doing this?

Cheers

If it was on O2 and you unlocked via a jailbreak route then if you upgrade to latest firmware you won't be able to use your Vodafone sim. You will need to jailbreak again.

You can get an official unlock from O2 so you can upgrade in future without fear. See the big thread about unlocking for more details.

The iPhone is locked to the network it was purchased on, regardless of what other networks are selling it. It's no different to any other mobile in that respect.
