    Hi

My 4s, with latest software all of a sudden keeps asking for my Apple Store password.

Very annoying, seems to do it most times I open an app. All my apps are up to date etc
I purchased a song off iTunes last week and it seems to be happening since then.
The song has downloaded fine though.

    Any ideas??

    Hi
Thanks for the suggestion, tried it twice, but it's still happening.
Oddly though, when I was logged out of the store on the phone, it still kept doing it, so not store related.
I feel I trip to a Guru at some point.

On a separate note, are the earphones guaranteed for 12 m anyone know as mine are shot already

Have you tried a hard reset?

Press and hold down the home button and the power button at the same time until the apple logo appears.

Is it definitely the apple id password its asking for?

I've got my gmail account set up on the phone for email, calendar etc and i had a problem with that and it kept prompting for my password. Turned out my gmail account had been hacked then suspended for emails being sent out that i didnt send. Once i'd reset the password and re-entered it to the phone it was fine.

Yep tried that a few times, even after deleting store details, but no use.
    Deffo the Apple one
I feel a guru trip coming on, but must be something silly

It's not a stalled app update is it? I had about 20 updates once and set them all away and for some reason one of them didn't work but every now and then it would seem to try again and ask for my password as it had timed out.

I didn't realise this was what it was at first but it wouldn't update at all so I had to delete it and reinstall it and it went away.

Yesterday, I got a message saying my App store password had been reset for "security reasons".
I was told to follow a link to iforgot.apple.com to change it again myself.
Once I'd changed it, everything was back to normal.
