Iphone battery dying

My battery in my out of warranty iphone seems to be dying incredibly quickly. if it is on the way out what are my options, and most importantly what's it going to cost me? I'm guessing it wont be cheap!

Can I argue with Apple that under the fit for purpose sale of goods act the battery should last for more than a year and a half?

its an original iphone btw.

Don't think so that price includes Apple fitting the battery for you because it's a bit of a mare taking the iPhone apart.
