By the time you buy a case and charging station ££££££

I just can’t justify spending that much on a phone.

YAASSS! Apple TV 4K is everything I hoped it would be and getting 4K upgrades on purchased films (if there's a 4K version kickin' about) for nowt is the icing on the cake.

I think they've grossly over estimated desirability. I've had every iPhone on or as close as I could to launch day since the original - but this mark-up is way beyond the line - a f***ing bag of sand for a device that allows multiple PPI calls and many Pinterest emails daily?

Oh sorry I forgot about Animoji's - I'm getting one

I watched the entire announcement. Bit of a train wreck. I watched with a couple of people really excited about the X with the intention to buy it. They were bitterly disappointed. Mainly at the face unlock and new home button interactions. Also, November release. If you're lucky. More likely to be next year knowing how demand is. Seems like a poorly thought through device. As if they started with the design and worked backwards.

The X does look like a nice device, but (apart from the rediculous price) I'm not sold on the idea of unlocking a phone with your face... even if it works briliiantly. I like to unlock my phone when its on my desk to the side of me.... how's that going to work?

Also, no dual sim option? (I need it so I don't have to carry around 2 phones for work and home).

Surely there's a limit to how much people will pay for an Apple phone? I mean, if it reaches £2000, would people still buy it?

From a once devoted iPhone user, I say its gone beyond crazy.

Think he saved it later though - just. As soon as it worked he milked it lol...

"Oh let's do face unlock again, its so fast, and again hey its great!"

I must say, I felt like most of them were very nervy, and I understand that - shows the pressure they must be all under, some of the presenters couldn't wait to get off!

im actually worried now some may ramp up prices after seeing the apple price, i will probably import my v30.

I really hope people turn their backs on apple and I wager next year a Finger print sensor will be on the back of the iPhone Xs.

I feel like the presenters new it wasn't coming across well. To be fair, the leaks completely ruined the whole presentation. Imagine sitting through the laughable iPhone 8 announcement thinking Apple have lost the plot selling the same design for 4 years, then being hit with the X, knowing nothing about it. It would have been huge. But everyone knew it was coming and when it did it was underwhelming. Nothing we didn't know was coming. I was shocked at their complete pivot to face unlock. Didn't seem much better than previous attempts from other manufacturers. So you're already not convinced, then they tell you it's not available for at least 2 months.

Why do Apple do these presentations but Samsung just release the product?

It’s all a little bit boring now, and as for renaming retail stores ‘Town Squares’ lol.

I think next time I’ll skip the presentation and just read the details after.

They’ll probably put the Touch ID under the screen for the 11 and say that’s now the best.

I think you are right, I think the only reason they have gone face ID route is because they couldn’t work out how to get the sensor under the screen.
