I am looking for an OEM battery. There are a few sites that claim they have OEM batteries, but I am a bit concerned if its a replica or not.

Does anyone have a reliable site I can buy this from?

If I were you I'd just take it into Apple and pay them to have one fitted. I wouldn't want a market stall etc to take it apart to fit one. But that's just me!

Apple charge £76.44 plus postage if you do the repair my mail.

At least you get a proper Apple battery for that.

Yes i didnt think of the mail option, actually last year me and my wife sent our iphone 6S off to have the batteries replaced when they were said to have been fitted with faulty batteries from the factory, so that got done free of charge, but the whole procedure was very straight forward and we had both our phones back within a week.

What they do is, send out a empty box with packing labels etc, you just put the phone inside the bubble wrap and box, then put the pre paid packing label on, then send it off at the post office, sometimes you get UPS type couriers, or sometimes it will be a post office job. Id much rather pay the £75 knowing ive got a genuine Apple battery, and that the phone will have been put back together 100% as it was when you sent it off, and if anything did happen after that, it will be up to Apple to sort it out for you, and its much better to deal with Apple than Mr Khan down at the phone shop!!
