iPeng for iPad behaviour on Search

Novice Member
I have one more question about iPeng for iPad usage.

Am I right that if the result of a search is a song, rather than an album, then pressing that song always reveals the menu, and does not follow the toggle-button settings for Play, Add to End or Play Next?

Short answer: yes.

Long answer:
It depends.
First of all, iPeng for iPad has two different search modes between which you can toggle using the "globe" button next to the search bar. If the globe is not selected, you are in "local search", which is what you describe here.
In Local Search, iPeng only searches your library, does so while typing and presents hits in Artists, Genres , Albums and Tracks in the same menu.
In this setup, playing all tracks the same way it's done from an album doesn't work, but since iPeng tries to never just "play" when you are not in an Album/Playlist to avoid blowing away the playlist accidentally, you are getting this menu. It's not perfect, "Play all" will still immediately do so...

Global Search on the other hand will be a different animal. When you are in Global Search iPeng will show you a menu hierarchy to search in _after_ you have entered the search string. This is essentially the "Global Search" function of SqueezePlay. It only searches one category at a time but is faster and works with most remote "Apps", too.
