I picked up a 128GB 7.9 iPad Pro and am just wondering if I should of gone with the 256GB? I've always gone with the maximum storage and for the past couple of years have managed with the 128, but now there's a 256 option, it makes me wonder. When you think about it, it's another £120 to double your storage. That seems pretty good, but....

I have a 128GB that has around 30GB of music on. I also have this on the iPad and I'm thinking why have the music on both? Delete the music from iPad and it'll mean I'll have around 50GB free and so 128GB will easily be enough.

Just wondering what you guys have or are going for and where do you keep all your music?

I don't have a pro but like you I'll always go for the max storage. I like "headroom" although if I were to buy a pro it would always be purely for home use. In which case, everything would be streamed anyway so I'd likely go for the cheapest sku. If using on the road/travels then biggest storage make sense,

I got the 12.9 pro when it came out. The 128gb was the biggest storage then. I'm still hoping this is enough for what I use as my I phone is 12gb

In terms of storage and cloud technology i see onboard storage as less important unless you are off the grid for a period of time these days.

I can stream movies and music now a lot easier than I could a few years ago. And use one drive to keep all my documents and photos archived.

Saying that I got a 128gb pro as I will keep it 2/3 years. And some apps are growing in size. 16gb is my normal phone size and use possibly half that.

256GB is a lot, mind you for me 128GB is overkill. Any movies I have I just drag over from a HD via my Mac, watch then delete, music is only 10GB or so, photos 8GB and games about 5GB.

I've just ordered the 256GB one, upgrading from a 32GB iPad Air 1. That was just too much of a squeeze and I came to regret going for the "economy" option. For the sake of a small premium over the 128GB I think it's worth it.

I take on board all the points about streaming, but my iPad travels the world with me and keeps me entertained when I have no internet connection, so I'm looking forward to being able to load up the new one.
